Poems published in South Bank Poetry magazine

August 8, 2018

Two poems of mine were picked up for publication in South Bank Poetry magazine, a magazine I've been very familiar with over its ten-year publication history.

The poems published are 'House', which is about the experience of visiting Dennis Severs' House, a recreation of a London household from 1724 in Spitalfields, and 'A Conversation with Oscar Wilde', a poem about the sculpture of the same name in front of Charing Cross station.

I read the poems, plus one more, at a launch event on a hot evening back in July (the temperature justified late-night ice cream afterwards). The highlight of the evening, aside from  the ice cream, was the opportunity to hear some of the other contributors read and to get to know some of poetry's fresh voices that bit better.
